House and Senate appropriators had to punt on a compromise Homeland Security bill as they race toward a Jan. 30 funding deadline. And behind the scenes, talks continue on a potential second “big, beautiful” reconciliation bill. CQ Roll Call’s Aris Folley, Paul M.
