A very special guest has agreed to attend Senate hopeful Patrick Murphy’s June 3 fundraiser: President Barack Obama.

Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., this March endorsed the two-term lawmaker’s bid to replace former Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio of Florida.

Murphy and fellow Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson are both vying for the open seat.

The party primary is scheduled for Aug. 30.

In addition to huddling with Murphy, Obama is scheduled to help fill the coffers of the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee during this trip to the Sunshine State.

The weekend visit won’t be entirely work-related.

Local media reports  say Obama has carved out time to play at the Floridian National Golf Club  in Palm City.
