Obama Faults Washington Politics for ‘Gun Violence’

President Barack Obama went to the mics Thursday to convey the sympathies of the Executive Branch and the Obama family. Saying he knew churchgoers of the South Carolina shooting personally, Obama said it was impossible to convey the “heartbreak” with the intensity that it was felt. Obama said he would be restrained in commenting on facts of the case but said, “I don’t need to be constrained about the emotions that tragedies like this raise.” ” We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hand on a gun.”
