Bill Clinton to Campaign with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago

President Bill Clinton will appear at a campaign rally with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago next week.

Emanuel, a former Congressman and former chief of staff to President Barack Obama, is running for mayor of Chicago. Emanuel was a senior aide to Clinton when he was president.

The event will be held at the Chicago Cultural Center at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Emanuel’s campaign first announced Clinton would campaign with him in late December but didn’t set a date at that time.

The mayor’s office is open since longtime Mayor Richard Daley announced he wouldn’t run for re-election. Among Emanuel’s opponents are former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun and former Daley Chief of Staff Gery Chico.

The election will be held Feb. 22.
