Obama to Meet With Dodd at White House

President Barack Obama will meet at the White House Tuesday afternoon with Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), according to White House sources.

White House officials were not immediately ready to comment on the purpose of the meeting. Dodd led the effort in the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee in drawing up the panel’s version of health care reform legislation. And as chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, he also is a key player on financial reform legislation Obama is trying to help steer through the Senate.

The Dodd meeting will follow a session Obama has planned with Sen. George Voinovich (D-Ohio) that may focus on health care.
