Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is planning to make a second visit to Kentucky on Sunday to campaign for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R) Democratic challenger, Bruce Lunsford.

Clinton’s return to the Bluegrass State comes just two days before the November elections and a week after her husband, former President Bill Clinton, made a similar stop in the state for Lunsford. The New York Senator and one-time presidential candidate also campaigned in Kentucky for the Democratic candidate in September.

Sen. Clinton has some familiarity with Kentucky. She handily won the Democratic presidential primary there earlier this year against now-nominee Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.).

In addition to campaigning in person for Lunsford, Clinton also is featured in a television ad for him.

Although the race is tightening, McConnell continues to have a narrow advantage in most polls. McConnell is hoping to secure a fifth term.
